A Good Bunch of Brady

Brady dress in the Designer Garage Sale

Brady Wasabi dress in Olive - RRP $289, DGS just $195

Brady is edgy and constructed, with intriguing silhouettes and colour combinations, it’s about having one key piece that makes an entire ensemble stand out. Movement is kept in mind with the design, as each Brady piece is produced to create or compliment the rhythm and flow of a woman’s body.

Brady is daring but not too out there – it takes risks to be a fusion of high fashion and easy wear, culminating in a range of distinctive yet easily identifiable pieces. Its real point of difference is in the attention paid to every garment as a three dimensional object, so that from the front, side and back, there is always something of interest, from the subtle detailing to the way it drapes.

The debut Brady range was inspired by Japanese Haikus, a form of poetry that is written, read and understood independently. This theme features throughout, resulting in a fully cohesive collection that can still be unique to its wearers through fluid silhouettes and daring new shapes in exclusive silks and modals.

The ‘Fashion Emergency’ Rack at the Designer Garage Sale

Buy a Garment for Christchurch at the Designer Garage Sale

The Designer Garage Sale is offering visitors the opportunity to buy an extra fashion garment to gift to victims of the Christchurch earthquake.

Many of Christchurch’s most fashionable have been left wearing only the clothes they’re wearing and while emergency clothing is getting through, the Designer Garage Sale team wanted to give those Christchurch women something a bit special to pick them up.

So we’re asking shoppers to look for one additional garment when they’re shopping at the sale, to purchase it and leave it on the Christchurch Fashion Emergency rack at the front door.

“We know that our Designer Garage Sale shoppers are stylish and savvy and they’ll be able to spot a great style that they’d love to see go to a Christchurch woman,” said organiser Jill Blomfield

“It could be a t-shirt or a little black dress – with garments priced from as low as $30 and a wide rage of sizes age groups and genres, there will be something for everyone,” she said. “We hope we’ll be able to despatch a fantastic selection of fashion items to Christchurch at the end of the sale,” said Jill.

Shoppers attending the sale are also invited to drop off fashion garments they’ve already got in the wardrobe that they haven’t worn often, but would like to see go to a new home. Cash donations will also be gratefully received.
